ALADDIN AND THE BASKET OF FISH

Aladdin was a small fisher boy who knew nothing more than fishing. He grew up fishing alongside his father. During one season the fishermen toiled relentlessly but it seemed as though all the fishes had a serious meeting and were being more defensive, they bite and broke most of the hooks and ate up some of the fishing nets. The fisher men worried why the fishes were becoming more vicious. Aladdin had a special basket given to him by his grandfather before he died. He cast the big basket into the water and to every one’s surprise the basket held lots of fishes. The next day all the fisher men lined up in front of Aladdin’s home to rent his basket for a stipulated price. This became another business for Aladdin and his family shortly they became very rich.

Author announces release of ‘Chasing Shadows’
LAGOS STATE, Nigeria – Augustina has never been what her father wanted – a son. Having put up with his overbearing nature for years, she strikes her own path and founds a nongovernmental organization to help victims of several attacks in her country. Wielding substantial influence, she now faces her father’s further discrimination and a painful lack of support from her family.
“My inspiration for writing this book comes from the world at large,” author Blessing Ikokwu-Oruche explains. “Mainly because human life exists therein and there are so many activities going on around the globe both negative and positive.”
In her debut novel, “Chasing Shadows: The Troubled and Haunted” (published by AuthorHouse UK), she explores abuse and corruption as Augustina not only has to face her father and a troubled ex-president, but a ghost from her past as well.
“I want readers to take away originality, the essence of love and the importance of Nation building,” Ikokwu-Oruche says.
